The windows device-driver area shows the new device with a mark that means the driver is a problem. I have been buying from Netgear a long time but I might have to switch with this level of quality and clunky software. I scoured google for answers. There were more steps in the installation process but nothing else happened. I just upgraded my computer to Windows 7 64 bit and wanted to use the WGv2 with my new computer. If this is the case, i suggest you get the WNCE Now, although it’s installed, it’s not showing any wireless networks. You don’t need a paid download from weinsteinsolutions. The only thing I can possibly conclude is that while the adapter has been confirmed working in 32 bit Windows netvear no one has reported it working in 64 bit windows.
I’m trying this now. Message 9 of Message 8 of Message 5 of Wait ag111v2 Windows to find and install drivers from Windows Update. When the drivers are installed, you can immediately use them to connect to a wireless access point. But, the problem remains the same – no luck with the WG adapter on Win 7.
Using the above procedure I mentioned, I could install my WG driver winddows from MS update, by separately downloading the driver on the win7 desktop not using Windows update which anyway didn’t install the driver. I thought that perhaps it was a fluke and some obscure error was preventing the installation. My guess is that he’s just selling a copy of the drivers that he downloaded from Windows Update. I tried using the automatic updates by getting internet from my laptop.
I’ve used them on three different Windows 7 computers, and they work fine. The rebooting process clears the existing configuration of router and allows the modem and NETGEAR router to establish a new connection.

I haven’t tried the WGv2 with bit Windows 7, but it probably works fine, too.

I’ve tried the windows update, which doesn’t do anything. I then unplugged the adapter from the USB slot and commenced installation. This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity. Then, you need to wait for the Internet modem to completely initialize.
